The power supply system of urban rail transit vehicles usually obtain DC voltage from DC power supply network. Generally, the DC voltage of the power grid is either 1500VDC or 750VDC. The traction inverter VVVF and the auxiliary inverter SIV transform to output different AC voltage values to the power supply equipment on the train. The line reactor and the filter reactor functions to stabilize the system, limit the DC side capacitor voltage fluctuation to the allowable range, filter the ultraharmonics, suppress the circuit current when the inverter has short-circuited and provide the inverter switch elements with condition for current exchange.
People make use of the resistors for the resistance they possess, mostly for limiting or regulating circuit currents or converting electrical energy into heat. The resistors manufactured by our company for the rail transit system mainly include braking resistors, over voltage absorbing resistors and discharge resistors. Braking resistors are the carriers used to consume the regenerated energy of motor braking in the form of heat energy. When the vehicle brakes, traction motor is still generating power to power grid. If the energy cannot be completely absorbed by the power grid or other electrical equipment, it will cause voltage rise in the power grid, which is very detrimental to the operation of power station equipment and the vehicles. Therefore, it’s necessary to add the braking resistor to the power grid in order to consume the excessive electricity and maintain voltage stability. An over voltage absorption resistor is used to absorb and release excessive voltage when the grid voltage exceeds the set maximum voltage during vehicle restart, thus limiting the grid voltage within the normal range all along. A discharge resistor is used in the energy storage system of the rail transit’s ground station. It acts as a quick discharge for the supercapacitor during system overhaul.
According to the working voltage grade, Yubo’s onboard metal boxes are divided into three categories: low-voltage boxes, high and low voltage combination boxes and high-voltage boxes. The boxes can meet the requirements of long-term use in different working conditions. It has been serving reliably in Chongqing, Liaoning, Beijing and other provinces and cities that vary largely in environment. We continued to optimize the structural design of our product to meet the needs in structural strength, and in the meantime reduce their weight and size in order to reduce the trains’ operating cost. It has been serving on Chongqing Rail Transit line 1 & 9 and Beijing Rail Transit BATONG line South Extension.
